Segunda division (Week 18) : Gijon defeats Alcorcon 2-1
SPAIN, Dec. 21, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 18: After their 1-1 draw against Racing Santander on December 13, Los Rojiblancos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Alcorcon this Sunday.
Sporting Gijon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Jony ('21) and Lopez ('30). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Rojiblancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Real Sporting de Gijon remains in second place with 36 points from 18 games, tie on points with UD Las Palmas, which has a game in hand.
