Segunda division (Week 9) : Leganés hold Girona to 2-2
SPAIN, Oct. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 9: The match between Leganés and Girona ended in a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
Leganés players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mantovani Martin in the 21st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Pires Gabriel goal ('53) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Girona with goals by Mata Jaime ('79) and Morillas Jairo ('90).
CD Leganés climbed to 10th place with 11 points from 9 games, only one point behind Real Zaragoza, which has a game in hand.
