SPAIN, Feb. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 27: After their 1-1 draw against Real Oviedo on February 21, the Blanquivermells bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Llagostera this Saturday.
Llagostera made Girona doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Granell Alex on penalty with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Girona FC climbed to 11st place with 37 points from 27 games, only one point behind Real Zaragoza, which has a game in hand.
