Segunda division (Week 27) : Leganés defeats Alavés 2-0
SPAIN, Feb. 28, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 27: After two straigth draws against Mirandés and Almeria, Los Babazorros lost 2-0 against Leganés.
Leganés dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pena Ruben in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Pepineros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lazaro Borja with one minute left in regular time.
CD Leganés climbed to first place with 49 points from 27 games, one point ahead of runner-up Deportivo Alavés.
