Segunda division (Week 39) : Osasuna beats Numancia 3-2
SPAIN, May. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 39: After their 0-0 draw against Ponferradina on May 15 and 0-0 draw against Bilbao Athletic on May 15, the Gorritxoak bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Numancia this Sunday.
Merino Mikel scored dual goals
Numancia had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Nacho Sanchez ('11) and Valcarce Pablo ('15), while Osasuna only scored once Merino Mikel ('16). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Gorritxoak nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Torres Roberto '76 on penalty and Merino Mikel '89).
CA Osasuna climbed to fourth place with 61 points from 39 games, 3 points behind Gimnastic de Tarragona.
