Segunda division (Week 39) : Girona beats Mallorca 1-0
SPAIN, May. 21, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 39: After their 1-1 draw against Elche on May 15, the Blanquivermells bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Mallorca this Saturday.
Mallorca made Girona doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Herrera Cristian on penalty in the 47th minute.
Girona FC climbed to fifth place with 59 points from 39 games, only one point behind Real Zaragoza, which has a game in hand.
