SPAIN, May. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 39: Three wins in a row for Alavés. After their success against Valladolid and Alcorcon, Los Babazorros continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-0 victory over Ponferradina this Sunday.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Laguardia Victor ('13) and Garcia Manu ('27 on penalty).
Deportivo Alavés climbed to first place with 68 points from 39 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up CD Leganés.
