Segunda division (Week 40) : Alavés beats Athletic B 3-2
SPAIN, May. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 40: Four wins in a row for Alavés. After their success against Valladolid, Alcorcon and Ponferradina, Los Babazorros continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 3-2 victory over Bilbao Athletic this Thursday.
Alavés dominated the first half thanks to goals from Femenia Kiko ('7) and Mora Sergio ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Babazorros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Garcia Manu in the 70th minute.
Deportivo Alavés remains in first place with 71 points from 40 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Gimnastic de Tarragona.
