Segunda division (Week 40) : Alcorcon defeats Tenerife 2-1
SPAIN, May. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 40: Two wins in a row for Alcorcon. After their 0-2 win against Albacete on May 21, Los Alfareros continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-1 victory over Tenerife this Tuesday.
Alcorcon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Rodriguez David in the 16th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Alfareros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mayor in the 79th minute.
AD Alcorcon climbed to fifth place with 61 points from 40 games, tie on points with CA Osasuna, which has a game in hand.
