Segunda division (Week 38) : Elche hold Girona to 1-1
SPAIN, May. 15, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 38: The match between Elche and Girona ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Girona players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Granell Alex in the 9th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Elche with a saving goal from Clerc Carlos into his own net in the 76th minute.
Girona FC remains in 7th place with 56 points from 38 games, one point behind CA Osasuna, which has a game in hand.
