Segunda division (Week 20) : Gimnastic hold Tenerife to 1-1
SPAIN, Jan. 8, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 20: The match between Gimnastic de Tarragona and Tenerife ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Tenerife players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Gonzalez Cristo in the 12th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Gimnastic de Tarragona with a saving goal from Carlos Jose in the 57th minute.
CD Tenerife climbed to 11st place with 21 points from 16 games, only one point behind Cordoba CF.
