Segunda division (Week 23) : Valladolid beats Rayo 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 23: After losing 3-1 to Getafe on January 21 and 1-0 to Real Oviedo on January 21, Los Pucelanos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Saturday.
Rayo Vallecano had started off well by taking the lead in the 4th minute with a goal by Manucho Contreiras. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Pucelanos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Arnaiz Jose '63 and Villar Juan '67).
Real Valladolid climbed to 8th place with 25 points from 19 games, only one point behind Real Oviedo, which has a game in hand.
