Segunda division (Week 24) : Girona beats Valladolid 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 24: After losing 1-0 to Elche on January 27, the Blanquivermells returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Valladolid this Sunday.
Girona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Coris Sebas in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Torres Pau into his own net in the 79th minute.
Girona FC remains in second place with 34 points from 19 games, 8 points behind Levante UD.
