Serie A (Week 21) : Roma and Empoli tied at 1-1
ITALY, Jan. 31, 2015 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 21: AS Roma was held to a 1-1 draw by Empoli on Saturday.
Empoli players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Empoli forward Massimo Maccarone on penalty in the 39th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by AS Roma with a saving goal from Brazilian defender Maicon in the 57th minute.
AS Roma remains in second place with 43 points from 21 games, 6 points behind Juventus, which has a game in hand.
