ITALY, Mar. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 26: The match between Empoli and Genoa ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Genoa players started off well by taking the lead thanks to French forward Niang in the 27th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with a saving goal from Empoli defender Federico Barba in the 66th minute.
Genoa CFC remains in 7th place with 37 points from 25 games, 5 points behind UC Sampdoria.
