Serie A (Week 29) : Empoli and Samp tied at 1-1
ITALY, Mar. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 29: The match between Empoli and Sampdoria ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Sampdoria players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Sampdoria forward Fabio Quagliarella in the 41st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with a saving goal from French defender Vincent Laurini in the 82nd minute.
Empoli FC climbed to 10th place with 35 points from 29 games, only one point behind Bologna FC 1909, which has a game in hand.
