ITALY, Apr. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 33: After losing 2-0 to Empoli on April 10, the Viola returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Sassuolo this Sunday.
Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine defender Gonzalo in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Iličić '57 and Consigli '84/own).
ACF Fiorentina remains in fifth place with 59 points from 33 games, 2 points behind Inter Milan.
