Serie A (Week 20) : Cagliari defeats Genoa 4-1
ITALY, Jan. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 20: After losing 1-0 to AC Milan on January 8, the Rossoblu bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Genoa this Sunday.
Marco Borriello scored dual goals
Genoa opened the score in the score in the 28th minute thanks to Simeone Giovanni, before Cagliari regained the advantage with Borriello ('40) and Pedro Joao ('44). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Rossoblu further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Borriello '60 and Farias Diego '64/penalty).
Cagliari climbed to 10th place with 26 points from 20 games, only one point behind ACF Fiorentina, which has two games in hand.
