Serie A (Week 21) : Sassuolo defeats Pescara 3-1
ITALY, Jan. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 21: Two wins in a row for Sassuolo. After their 4-1 win against Palermo on January 15, the Neroverdi continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 3-1 victory over Pescara this Sunday.
Alessandro Matri scored dual goals
Sassuolo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Alessandro Matri in the 1st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Neroverdi further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Pellegrini '65 and Matri '73).
US Sassuolo Calcio climbed to 14th place with 24 points from 21 games, only one point behind AC Chievo Verona.
