Serie A (Week 33) : Empoli beats Milan 2-1
ITALY, Apr. 23, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 33: Two wins in a row for Empoli. After their 1-2 win against Fiorentina on April 15, the Azzurri continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-1 victory over AC Milan this Sunday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Georgian forward Levan Mchedlidze in the 40th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Thiam Mame in the 67th minute.
AC Milan remains in 6th place with 58 points from 33 games, 5 points behind Atalanta BC.
