ITALY, Apr. 30, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 34: After their 2-2 draw against Napoli on April 23, the Neroverdi returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Empoli this Sunday.
Sassuolo dominated the first half thanks to goals from Peluso ('19) and Matri ('34). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Neroverdi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Duncan in the 57th minute.
US Sassuolo Calcio remains in 14th place with 39 points from 34 games, 2 points behind Cagliari.
