Serie B (Week 35) : Perugia defeats Varese 2-0
ITALY, Apr. 13, 2015 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 35: Two wins in a row for Perugia. After their 0-2 win against Virtus Entella on April 2, the Grifoni continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 2-0 victory over Varese this Monday.
Perugia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Goldaniga in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Grifoni further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Verre in the 73rd minute.
AC Perugia climbed to fifth place with 53 points from 35 games, only one point behind Frosinone Calcio, which has a game in hand.
