ITALY, Apr. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 36: After losing 1-0 to Avellino on April 8, the Biancorossi bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Bari this Monday.
Carpi dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Tonucci Denis in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Biancorossi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mbakogu Jerry in the 69th minute.
Carpi FC 1909 climbed to 9th place with 51 points from 36 games, tie on points with Spezia Calcio, which has a game in hand.
