Serie B (Week 40) : Ascoli and Benevento play out 1-1 draw
ITALY, May. 6, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 40: Benevento was held to a 1-1 draw by Ascoli on Saturday.
Benevento players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Ceravolo Fabio in the 26th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ascoli with a saving goal from Eramo Mirko into his own net in the 90th minute.
Benevento Calcio remains in fifth place with 60 points from 40 games, one point behind AC Perugia.
