GENEVA, Jun. 20, 1954 (AMP) — Switzerland 54 : Turkey defeated South Korea by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Charmilles Stadium in Geneva.
Burhan Sargun scored tripple goals
Turkey dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mamat ('10, '30), Küçükandonyadis ('24) and Sargun ('37). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Turks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Sargun '64, '70 and Keskin '76).
