LONDON, Jul. 13, 1966 (AMP) — England 66 : France tied 1-1 with Mexico (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday night at Wembley Stadium.

No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Hausser ('62) for France, Borja ('48) for Mexico.

The result left both teams on top of Group 1 with one point. In their next game, Mexico will meet third-placed England at Wembley Stadium on July 16, while France will face Uruguay.
