PALERMO, Jun. 12, 1990 (AMP) — Italy 90 : The Netherlands tied 1-1 with Egypt (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Kieft ('58) for the Netherlands, Abdelghani ('83 on penalty) for Egypt.
The result left all four teams in Group F (Egypt, England, Ireland and Netherlands), tied with one point. In their next game, Egypt will meet Ireland at the Stadio Renzo Barbera on June 17, while the Netherlands will face England.
