STANFORD, Jun. 28, 1994 (AMP) — USA 94 : Russia defeated Cameroon by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Stanford Stadium.
Oleg Salenko served up another goal feast
Russia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Salenko ('15, '41, '44 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Russians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Salenko '72, '75 and Radchenko '81).
