LEIPZIG, Jun. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : The Netherlands defeated Serbia and Montenegro by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Zentralstadion in Leipzig.
All the action happened in the first half, with Dutch striker Arjen Robben goal in the 18th minute.
The result put the Dutch second in Group C with 3 points. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet third-placed Ivory Coast at the Zentralstadion on June 16, while Serbia and Montenegro will face Argentina.
