APIA, Aug. 27, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Caledonia defeated Tuvalu by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Monday afternoon.
The result put the New Caledonians top of Group A with 6 points. Tuvalu is bottom with no points. In their next game, New Caledonia will meet the Cook islands on August 29, while Tuvalu will face Tahiti.
