APIA, Aug. 29, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Caledonia defeated the Cook islands by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the New Caledonians top of Group A with 9 points. The Cook islands is bottom with no points. In their last game, New Caledonia will meet second-placed the Fiji on September 3, while the Cook islands will face Tuvalu.
