MANAUS, Jun. 18, 2014 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 : Croatia defeated Cameroon by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday night at the Arena da Amazonia in Manaus.
Mario Mandžukić scored dual goals
Croatia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Ivica Olić in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Croatians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Perisic '48 and Mandžukić '61, '73).
The result put the Croatians third in Group A with 3 points. Cameroon is bottom with no points. In their last game, Croatia will meet second-placed Mexico at the Arena da Amazonia on June 23, while Cameroon will face Brazil.
