NATAL, Jun. 24, 2014 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 : Uruguay defeated Italy by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Arena das Dunas in Natal.
Italy made the Uruguayans doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Uruguayan defender Diego Godín with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
