SALVADOR, Jun. 25, 2014 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 : Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Iran by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.
Bosnia and Herzegovina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Edin Džeko in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Bosnians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Pjanić '59 and Vršajević '83).
