One goal for both sides in the first half, Inui ('34) for Japan, Mané ('11) for Senegal and one each in the second, Honda ('78) for Japan, Wagué ('71) for Senegal.
The result left both teams on top of Group H with 4 points. In their last game, Senegal will meet third-placed Colombia at the Central Stadium on June 28, while Japan will face Poland.
