GERMANY, Oct. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 8: After their 1-1 draw against Wolfsburg on September 30, the O-Fives bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Hamburger SV this Saturday.
Mainz midfielder Alexandru Maxim opened the score in the 2nd minute, before seeing Hamburger SV catch up in the 9th minute thanks to Walace Silva. 1-1 at half time. The O-Fives eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Bell ('52) and Latza ('58).
1. FSV Mainz 05 climbed to 10th place with 10 points from 8 games, only one point behind Borussia Mönchengladbach, which has a game in hand.
