ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for Ipswich Town. After their 2-0 win against Middlesbrough on December 20, the Tractor Boys continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 4-2 victory over Brentford this Friday.
Daryl Murphy scored dual goals
Ipswich Town dominated the first half thanks to goals from Murphy ('1, '21) and Anderson ('30). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Tractor Boys further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Smith with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Ipswich Town FC climbed to first place with 44 points from 23 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up AFC Bournemouth, which has a game in hand.
