QPR made Brighton & Hove Albion doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Murray ('58) and Pocognoli ('64).
Brighton and Hove Albion FC climbed to first place with 86 points from 41 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Newcastle United, which has a game in hand.
