Championship (Week 41) : Wigan Athletic defeats Rotherham 3-2

ENGLAND, Apr. 8, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 41: After four straigth defeats, the Latics bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Rotherham United this Saturday.

Rotherham United midfielder Danny Ward opened the score in the 29th minute, before seeing Wigan Athletic catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Gabriel Obertan. 1-1 at half time. The Latics eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Gilbey Alex ('65) and Powell ('90).

Wigan Athletic FC remains in 23rd place with 37 points from 41 games, 3 points behind Blackburn Rovers FC.
