Championship (Week 42) : Reading beats Aston Villa 3-1

ENGLAND, Apr. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 42: After losing 7-1 to Norwich City on April 8, the Royals returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa this Saturday.

Joseph Mendes scored dual goals

Reading forward Joseph Mendes opened the score in the 6th minute, before seeing Aston Villa catch up in the 14th minute thanks to James Chester. 1-1 at half time. The Royals eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Mendes ('46) and Grabban ('79 on penalty).

Reading FC remains in fourth place with 76 points from 42 games, one point behind Huddersfield Town AFC, which has a game in hand.
