SALVADOR, Jun. 22, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2013 : Brazil defeated Italy by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador.
Fred scored dual goals
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Dante in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Neymar '55 and Fred '66, '89).
