BELO HORIZONTE, Jun. 22, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2013 : Mexico defeated Japan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte.

Javier Hernández scored dual goals

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with two goals by Mexican forward Javier Hernández at '54 and '66.

Both teams are eliminated.
