PASADENA, Jun. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Centenario : Colombia defeated Paraguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Copa América group stage game on Tuesday night at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Colombia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Bacca ('12) and Rodríguez ('30). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Colombians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Colombians top of Group A with 6 points. Paraguay is third with one point. In their last game, Colombia will meet Costa Rica at the Rose Bowl on June 11, while Paraguay will face the United States.
