CHICAGO, Jun. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Centenario : Argentina defeated Panama by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa América group stage game on Friday night at the Soldier Field in Chicago.
Lionel Messi scored tripple goals
Argentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Nicolás Otamendi in the 7th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Argentines further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Messi '68, '78, '87 and Agüero '90).
The result put the Argentine top of Group D with 6 points. Panama is third with 3 points. In their last game, Argentina will meet Bolivia at the Soldier Field on June 14, while Panama will face Chile.
