Chile beats Panama to reach Copa América quarterfinals

PHILADELPHIA, Jun. 14, 2016 (AMP) — Centenario : Chile defeated Panama by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a Copa América group stage game on Tuesday night at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Eduardo Vargas and Alexis Sánchez scored dual goals

Panama opened the score in the score in the 5th minute thanks to Camargo, before Chile regained the advantage with Vargas ('15, '43). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Chilians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Sánchez '50, '89).

Chile advance to the Quarterfinals. Panama is eliminated.
