East Asian Cup 2017 : South Korea draw 2-2 with China
TOKYO, Dec. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Japan 2017 : South Korea tied 2-2 with China (halftime: 2-1), in a East Asian Cup final round game (Final Tournament) on Saturday afternoon at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.
The Koreans started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Shin-wook ('12) and Lee Jae-sung ('19) while the Chineses only scored once Wei Shihao ('9). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by China with a saving goal from Yu Dabao in the 76th minute.
The result left both teams on top of the group with one point. In their next game, China will meet Japan at the Ajinomoto Stadium on December 12, while South Korea will face North Korea.
