East Asian Cup 2017 : China held to a 1-1 draw by North Korea to claim East Asian Cup third place
TOKYO, Dec. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Japan 2017 : China tied 1-1 with North Korea (halftime: 1-0), in a East Asian Cup final round game (Final Tournament) on Saturday afternoon at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo.
The Chineses started off well by taking the lead thanks to Wei Shihao in the 28th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by North Korea with a saving goal from Jong Il-gwan in the 81st minute.
