Euro 2016 : Czech republic draw 2-2 with Croatia
SAINT-ÉTIENNE, Jun. 17, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Czech republic tied 2-2 with Croatia (halftime: 0-1), in a Euro group stage game on Friday night at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne.
The Croatians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic in the 37th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Rakitić goal ('59) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Czech republic with goals by Škoda ('76) and Necid ('89 on penalty).
The result put the Croatians top of Group D with 4 points. Czech republic is third with one point. In their last game, Croatia will meet second-placed Spain at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on June 21, while Czech republic will face Turkey.
