RIYADH, Nov. 14, 2014 (AMP) — Saudi Arabia 2014 : Kuwait defeated Iraq by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Gulf Cup group stage game on Friday night at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in Riyadh.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Al Enezi in stoppage time.
The result put the Kuwaiti top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Kuwait will meet second-placed the United Arab Emirates at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium on November 17, while Iraq will face Oman.
