La Liga (Week 15) : Espanyol defeats Granada 2-1
SPAIN, Dec. 14, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 15: After losing 5-1 to Barcelona on December 7, Los Periquitos bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Granada this Sunday.
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Stuani seconds before the end of regulation.
RCD Espanyol climbed to 11st place with 17 points from 15 games, only one point behind Athletic Bilbao, which has a game in hand.
